THE OPEN STAGE

The element that stands out first and foremost about the Piping Plovers it their "open stage." The PPAMS has a way of making average people feel like stars. Many of the people who have graced the Plover’s stage have never performed in front of an audience. The excitement and energy of being in such an intimate setting creates an amazing reaction between the artist and the audience. Nobody knows what to expect next.

POETRY HOUR

The spoken word is another favorite "art form" among PPAMS members, and guests, as well. It's run in an "open stage" format and everybody is welcome to get up and recite original thoughts and poems as well as verses from favorite authors.

FEATURED ARTISTS

Another aspect of the PPAMS is "featured Artist Night." This is where the Piping Plovers hire a performer to come and share their art.
A rising musician receives a helping hand. The artist, in turn, gets to share their art in an intimate setting. Aspiring musicians get a chance to learn from someone "making it" in the business. In turn, A room full of people are thoroughly entertained. Proceeds from the evening go to hiring other rising musicians... Starting the cycle again.
