Guest speaker, Mark Demitroff, waiting to begin his most informative talk dealing with South Jersey's wetlands (spungs and savannahs) before Hammonton existed up to the days of famed anthropologist, Margaret Mead, who called Hammonton her summer home. Mr. Demitroff is an expert geologist and has collaborated on works regarding permafrost and its effects on Jersey soils. During his presentation, he passed around examples of rock that you may find in your backyard today and discussed the interesting sound they make and why. Mark's lighthearted approach and personal interest in our club endeared him to our members. Pictured with Mark is Paul Schopp, industrial historian and author of "Trail of the Blue Comet".

Guests signing membership forms after the presentation while Mark answered members' questions on a one to one basis in the background.
