Silent Auction

This year’s 2000 Silent Auction, “Lighting the Way to Homeownership”, did just that!  In keeping with the theme, many beautiful lighthouses were donated, along with nearly two hundred other items, from furniture to food, golf to goodie baskets and even a 1987 Buick Century!  Auctioned off on June 22nd at the Ram’s Head Inn, the shining total topped last year’s figures, bringing in over $14,000.00!  But the great food, great folks and great time would not have been possible, were it not for the efforts of MANY people.

First and foremost, we graciously thank:

The Atlantic City and County Board of Realtors Executive Director-Vanessa Reale /
Member Services Coordinator-Cheryl Bessey

Public Relations Committee-chaired by Peg Bessey

We also thank the Silent Auction Committee:

Peg Bessey, Cheryl Bessey, Suzanne Dumas, Drew Fishman, Blanca Gonzalez-Restrepo,Toni Jacovini, Marie LaPera, Linda Maesano, Harry Mehlman, Tracey Newmones, Delores Reale, Vanessa Reale and Zelda Solof.

Special Thanks to

All of our donors, advertisers and volunteers
who make this event possible each year!

As many of you know, we are trying to acquire land in our mainland communities.  We have “approved” families who are waiting for homes in Egg Harbor Township, and we have been speaking with representatives from Hamilton Township and Galloway Township who seem anxious to work with us.  The monies raised at his year’s auction will enable us to acquire land in these communities where we must compete for buildable lots with area builders and developers.

Thank you to all of our supporters for making this possible.
