PURPOSE

To locate and screen prospective Habitat homeowner’s according to specific criteria.

To work

one on one,

with selected homeowner

to insure full under-standing

of all aspects of Habitat.

To organize interesting, profitable, and successful events to raise funds for various expenses.

To create public awareness, maintain

Habitat’s

positive image,

& communicate affiliate’s work throughout Atlantic County.

To plan,

organize and oversee all building activities for Habitat for Humanity, Atlantic County.

To complete specialized

phases of construction

& to train and integrate volunteers in those construction activities.

OPERATION

Meets families, assists with applications, conduct home visits, verify and offer information to families.

Provide resources & training to volunteers who wish to “partner”,

empower, encourage, support and educate Habitat families.

Discuss, organize,

co-ordinate and develop ideas, and staff various events.

Organize and present Habitat’s efforts to community.  Appear at public functions to promote org., create, maintain and display materials etc.

Approves

plans,

develops schedule and assigns tasks

to building teams.  Work with outside contractors,

if and/or when necessary.

The following teams are currently organized:  Volunteer Coordination, Project Management, and Construction Coordination.
