Committees Need
Volunteers!

Most of the work of Habitat is done at the committee level.  At this time all of the committees need additional members to better perform their function.

Fundraising Committee

Chair: Holly Payton
The title is fairly descriptive, this group brainstorms, researches, plans and carries out projects that contribute to the financial security of the organization.


Outreach and Public
Relations Committee

Chair: Sharon Ehrhardt
This committee looks for opportunities to tell the Habitat story.  It both utilizes community events, and organizes its own events.  It also maintains a speakers bureau.


Family Selection
Committee

Chair: Rhega Taylor
Vice Chair: Jackie Connelly
Charged with the selection of our homeowners, these busy people conduct seminars, solicit aplications, process and verify information, conduct interviews, and present candidates to the Board.


Family Partners
Committee

Chair: Evelyn Benton
Every Family is assigned its own partner who acts as mentor and liaison with the organization.  These people oversee the earning of "sweat equity" time, and help to solve the inevitable problems.


Building Committee

Chairs: Don Connolly
and Jim Ehrhardt
Building is the core activity of Habitat, and these people along with the site managers plan and operate all phases of the building process.

We are most appreciative of TV 40 for covering four major events in the span of a month.  These included two Groundbreakings, the Block Party, and the Art Auction.  Our thanks for helping us to get out our story.
