The following is a list of Habitat
related dates and activities
that you might want to put on your calendar.
ANNUAL
GOLF TOURNAMENT ... July 25, 2003
HFHAC
will be hosting the 4th annual golf event at Mays Landing Golf
Club on Friday, July 25, 2003 with
a 1:00 PM registration and a 2:00 PM shotgun scramble. We are still
seeking sponsors. Sponsorships are available on three levels: Eagle
($1,000), Birdie ($500) and Par ($250). The cost for golfers is $100 and
includes a round of golf, cart and fees, hot dogs and soda at registration
with a bogey barbecue after golf during the awards presentation. And did I
mention that each golfer will receive a great gift bag including a golf
shirt? We will have plenty of door prizes and raffle items as well, so
join us for an afternoon of fun while supporting your local Habitat
Chapter. Hole sponsors ($100) are needed as well, so show your support by
advertising the name of your business, organization or family on a sign to
be placed at the holes throughout the course. For information email the

Proceeds will be used toward the purchase of land.
TraceyHouse
5K Run...August 16, 2003
Habitat
for Humanity Atlantic County and Tracey House Foundation are partnering
for this event to be held Saturday, August
16, 2003 on the Atlantic City Boardwalk at 8:00 AM in front of
Tropicana. Registration is at 7:00 AM and Awards at 9:00 AM. Entry fees
are as follows: $15-early registration (postmarked by 8/3/03), $10-early
registration (students) and $20 the day of the race. All pre-registered
applicants will receive a long-sleeved T-shirt. Through the generous
support of sponsors and 500 participants of last year’s race,
TraceyHouse Foundation presented Atlantic County Habitat with a $40,000
check at the “wall raising” of the first Habitat house in Galloway,
the “Tracey House.”
Tracey Powers, a 17 year old senior at Absegami High School, died
of carbon monoxide poisoning while in Ecuador in July 2001. She was the
President of the Absegami Campus Chapter of Habitat and a remarkable young
woman, doing ordinary things with extraordinary love! Sponsors are needed.

Bike Ride “CYCLE TO END THE CYCLE”… Sept. 13, 2003
Ride
to Eliminate Poverty Housing in Atlantic County
This
event is to be held on Saturday, September
13th at Estelle Manor Park from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.
Registration forms are available.

Registration fee is $20 in advance (you will receive a T-shirt) and
$25 the day of the event (T-shirts if available). Entertainment will be
provided by “Loose Change”, a local band.
Margate Fall Funfest ... Sept.
20-21, 2003
Atlantic County
Habitat has been selected as one of the beneficiaries of the FunFest for
September 20 and 21, 2003. We need a minimum of 10 volunteers per day from
the 19-21st. The
FunFest is a nice event where you can volunteer for a shift and enjoy the
FunFest as well. Kindly email me and I will get you signed up! We
are looking forward to a good turnout of volunteers again this year!
